Eddie Eagle Volunteer Needed
The G.T. Metro Fire Department has been teaching the Eddie Eagle Gun Safe program in the surrounding schools and is unable to conduct the session at the Kingsley School. We need at least one (two would be nice) volunteers to conduct the program in March. The program is from K through 4th grade, two sessions are need and they would be held between 8:00 and 2:30 on a Tuesday and Wednesday (or probably two Tuesdays or two Wednesdays would work.) The G.T. Metro does have a person to wear the Eddie Eagle costume but they need someone familiar with firearms to give the presentation and to answer questions. All Course materials are on site. This link http://www.nrahq.org/safety/eddie/%20 to the NRA website has the information about the Eddie Eagle program. A quick synopsis of the program is as follows:
Pistol Club Meetings
The Pistol Club will be meeting every Sunday at 12 noon. The Pistol Club is open to club members that like to gather and show their "skills" by shooting a series of 6-shot drills against the clock for points. A $5.00 donation is appreciated and goes towards the club and prize for high score.

In Memory of Robert Carl Brown
Memory of Robert (Bob) Brown (21 March 1925 – 17 January 2012) After many months of trying to get together with Bob Brown to discuss the history of the Kingsley Sportsman’s Club, I (Corey Hughes, Club Secretary) had the wonderful pleasure to finally sit down with him and his wife Halcyone for several hours in the early part of this past July. Although Bob was deep into his treatments for cancer, he was doing quite well on that terribly hot afternoon when we visited in the living room of his home on the northern village limits of Kingsley.
