The Social Meeting of January 23rd will feature Rich Core demonstrating how to cast a plastic AR15 lower upon which you can then build your own AR 15.

The next Business Meeting will be on February 13th.

The next Business Meeting is January 9th. Nominations and Election of Directors will take place at this meeting. The following four Directors are concluding their two year term; Mark Radcliff, Rich Core, Rich Hentschel, and Andy Bates. Additional nominations will be taken at the February meeting. Any member in good standing may be nominated. Members nominated at the January meeting were Mark Radcliff, Rich Core, Andy Bates and Jamie Waller. You must be present to accept the nomination and / or cast your vote.

2017 KSC Membership Renewals – Membership renewals received between now and February 15 will be subject to a $10.00 late fee. Renewals received after February 15 will be treated as a new membership application and accepted based upon availability and may not be accepted. Based upon the renewals received so far, there will either be a good number of late fees or a lot of new members. If you haven’t received your renewal please call Bryan Wurm @ 231-492-5530.

We have donated a Ruger 10/22 takedown rifle for the youth drawing at the East Bay Calvary’s Sportmen’s Banquet which is held on February 10 and 11th. More details on the Banquet are here Sportsmens Banquet.

Do you enjoy eating Smoked or Barbecued meat?  Have you ever ruined a good piece of meat by barbecuing it wrong? Do you know how to properly and tastefully smoke different kinds of meat? Want to learn the proper way without wasting lots of money on experimenting how to smoke meat? KSC member Jerry Niezgoda is proposing to have a Smoking-BBQ class in April. The attached flyer for this event details the class. It sounds like if this is something you’re interested in the price of the class is well worth what you would spend on the wrong equipment or failed experiments and will start you off on the right track. Check it out now as class size is limited.

imageJanuary 29, March 18, May 20, July 29, September 23 and October 21 are the 2017 dates for the CCW Classes conducted by Ted Hentschel and Dave Wessel, owner of Great Guns in Acme. The class costs $150.00 and starts at 8:00 am and concludes at 5:30 pm. To reserve your spot please call Ted at 231-313-0720..

If you have any firearms that you would like to sell send an email with the information on what it is (brand, model, caliber, finish, barrel length, optics, etc.) and I will include it in the next newsletter. Please indicate if you wish to be contacted directly or through the Club’s email.

Reserved/dedicated range Activities. The following reserved activities have first right to the use of the range at the designated days/times. If you are at the range at the same time you will need to adjust your activities to accommodate their needs. Club members and the public are welcome to participate in these activities.

Pistol Shooters, every Sunday from noon until 3:00 pm. The first Sunday of the month is CCW day and the last Sunday of the month is .22 day. Sundays in between, shoot what you bring.
