GunShowThe Social Meeting of March 26th will consist of show and tell of any interesting firearm related items you may wish to share with others and the usual B.S. The next Business Meeting will be April 9th.

2018 Membership Letter & Cards were mailed to all members on February 27th. If you are a new member you need to attend a Range Orientation to obtain your membership card with the gate combo. Range Orientations are offered at the conclusion of all regular meetings, Social Meetings or on Sundays by appointment with Ted Hentschel (231-313-0720).

The Renewing Membership Raffle resulted in Chris Gee winning the Ruger 30-06 and yours truly Barry Andrews winning the Henry 22.

April 14th is the date of the Kingsley Sportsman’s Club Gun Show. Tables are $15.00 and can be reserved by calling Dean Councilor @ 231-632-0968. Volunteers will be needed to help with Friday night set up for the show, the day of the show and for cleanup. Please call Dean (231-632-0968) to volunteer. If you have any unused firearms or related equipment please consider donating it to the Club for sale at their table. It is also appreciated if you can pass the attached Gun Show flyer around to friends and family.

The 4H Shooting Club, for youth ages 7 and up, will begin the 2018 season with an organizational meeting on Tuesday, April 10 at 5:30 pm at the KSC. Registration and additional details can be found in the attached READY AIM flyer.

Range Hours: The Spring / Summer range hours begin April 1st and end September 30th. Hours are as follows: Weekdays 9:00am – 9:00pm / Saturday 10:00am – 7:00pm / Sunday 12:00 noon – 6:00pm. The Range Hours are also posted on the entrance to the Shooting Pavilion. Be respectful of the surrounding neighbors by observing the new range hours.

Due to the declining number of registrations for Hunters Safety there will not be a spring class, it will be scheduled for this coming fall.

Reserved/Dedicated Range Activities. The following reserved activities have first right to the use of the range at the designated days/times. If you are at the range at the same time you will need to adjust your activities to accommodate their needs. Club members and the public are welcome to participate in these activities.

Pistol Shooters, every Sunday from noon until 3:00 pm. The first Sunday of the month is CCW day and the last Sunday of the month is .22 day. Sundays in between, shoot what you bring.

4H Shooters, 5:30 – 8:00 PM on Tuesdays,  April 17, May 1, 15 & 29; June 12, 26; July 10, 24; August 7, 21; September 7, 21; and October 9.

.22 Silhouette Shooters, (BEGINNING WITH WARM WEATHER IN APRIL) every Thursday night from 6:00-8:00 pm. This event is open to all and features off hand shooting at 25, 50, 75 and 100 yard targets. The CPL pistol range will be available during the 22 Shoot.

March 24th, May 5th, July 28th, August 25, September 29th and October 20th are the 2018 dates for the CCW Classes conducted by Ted Hentschel and Dave Wessel, owner of Great Guns in Acme. The class costs $150.00 and starts at 8:00 am and concludes at 5:30 pm. To reserve your spot please call Ted at 231-313-0720.
