3d-booner-buckThe Social Meeting of June 25 will be 22 Pistols on Steel mini-match at the range. The next Business Meeting will be July 9th.

The KSC Spring Work Bee had a great turnout and much work was accomplished. The 3D Archery course was set up, backstops rebuilt and the usual maintenance items accomplished. Thanks to all that participated. For those with an interest in archery the 3D shooting begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesdays. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to shoot a round. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Thanks are extended to Scott Johnson and Ron Put for organizing and running the inaugural “Shuffle N Shoot” with 22 pistols and rifle. A good time was had by all of those who attended.

Mark your Calendars for the July 21 & 22 Kingsley Heritage Days as the KSC will once again be sponsoring the BB Shoot on Saturday and the Turkey Shoot on Sunday. Volunteers are needed for both of these events. The BB Shoot Booth setup will be Friday evening the 20th at last year’s location. Volunteers are needed for the booth Saturday 11-5. Please contact Dean Councilor @ 231-632-0968 if you’re able to help with this event. The Turkey Shoot on Sunday will be from 12-3. Please contact Rich Steffe @231-620-5981.

KSC member and instructor David Schliesman will be offering a certified NRA Basic Pistol course on June 23 and a Pistol Instructors course on June 24. This package is offer to Club members for $225. Students must register and deposit $100.00 by May 28th. Please call 231-882-4673 to register.

Reserved/Dedicated Range Activities. The following reserved activities have first right to the use of the range at the designated days/times. If you are at the range at the same time you will need to adjust your activities to accommodate their needs. Club members and the public are welcome to participate in these activities.

Well Armed Women, Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:30 pm on June 20, July 18, August 15 & September 19.

Pistol Shooters, every Sunday from noon until 3:00 pm. The first Sunday of the month is CCW day and the last Sunday of the month is .22 day. Sundays in between, shoot what you bring.

4H Shooters, 5:30 – 8:00 PM every Tuesday night.

.22 Silhouette Shooters, every Thursday night from 6:00-8:00 pm. This event is open to all and features off hand shooting at 25, 50, 75 and 100 yard targets. The CPL pistol range will be available during the 22 Shoot.

July 28th, August 25, September 29th and October 20th are the 2018 dates for the CCW Classes conducted by Ted Hentschel and Dave Wessel, owner of Great Guns in Acme. The class costs $150.00 and starts at 8:00 am and concludes at 5:30 pm. To reserve your spot please call Ted at 231-313-0720.

If you have any firearms that you would like to sell send an email with the information on what it is (brand, model, caliber, finish, barrel length, optics, etc.) and I will include it in the next newsletter. Please indicate if you wish to be contacted directly or through the Club’s email.

June 23 & 24, Grand Rapids @ 4 Mile Showplace
